Hello, my name is Tara. I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor, registered member of National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), a professional membership for counsellors & psychotherapists.

I work in Lewes, Hove and online. I also provide the option of home visits for carers, bereavement counselling and perinatal mental health issues.

My way of therapy is based on a trusting, safe and warm relationship. I trained in different modalities and draw upon a mix of approaches in my work to suit the person I am working with.

I work both long-term or short-term. Please get in touch to arrange an initial phone call so that you can see if we might be a good fit and if this is something you feel ready to do.

Everyone struggles at different times and sometimes it can feel too much for us alone. If you would like to talk with a professional, someone unconnected to your family and friends, I would like to offer my help. Talking to someone can be an important step in working towards feeling better and implementing the changes that you want.

Experience

I have experience working with a variety of different people of all ages with emotional and mental health related issues including depression and anxiety.

Prior to establishing my private practice, I worked at my local hospice with bereaved relatives, carers and people living with life-limiting illnesses. I have also worked with the East Sussex NHS Perinatal Mental Health Team, supporting parents and carers of young babies and those that suffered miscarriages or baby loss.

I also have experience working with people diagnosed with ASD, ADHD and learning difficulties and parents and carers of children and young people with these diagnoses, who are navigating the system in order to find the right support.
